My husband and I married very young. We went a few years without children but after year 5 decided  that we wanted to adopt our first child.  We wanted a child to know that they were our first choice, not a back-up plan.  So, before we ever tried to have a biological child we looked into adoption. After 2 years of waiting on an agency, we learned about fostering-to-adopt.  The process was fast and while it was never a guarantee that we would get to keep this child forever, we knew that the giving a child a home was important to us.

I want "OUR BOY" to raise awareness about fostering-to-adopt.  The ups, the downs, some of the legal process, our love for this child who did not legally belong to us and, most importantly, how God got us through it all and continues to sustain us.  

These are our stories and every foster-to-adopt story is different.

This blog was private until our adoption was finalized in 2014.  I will remain anonymous but pop-in for adoption-related content as often as I feel lead. Please leave comments and questions and check back often.
